Seattle Signs Alexander: The Seahawks added depth at safety Saturday, signing free agent Maurice Alexander, a former starter for the St. Louis and Los Angeles Rams. Alexander was the Rams’ starting strong safety in 2016, recording 50 tackles, two interceptions and four passes defensed in 14 games. He opened last season as a starter, but after starting the first four games of the season, he was inactive for Los Angeles’ Week 5 loss to Seattle, then was waived the fol Youth Toronto Blue Jays Josh Donaldson Scarlet Fashion Canada Day Red FlexBase Authentic Jersey lowing week.

Tobin Signs With Patriots: Offensive lineman Matt Tobin, who the Seahawks acquired in a trade before the start of last season, signed a free-agent deal with the New England Patriots. Tobin was active for 15 of Seattle’s games last year.
Mingo Signs With Seahawks: The Seahawks potentially added help at two positions, signing former 2013 first-round pick Barkevious Mingo. Mingo is listed as a linebacker, but has also played defensive end during his career. His size and athletic profile, as well as that positional versatility, suggests he could be used both as a strongside linebacker as well as a situational pass-rusher.
Dickson Signed By Seattle: The Seahawks added veteran depth at tight end, signing former Baltimore Raven and Carolina Panther Ed Dickson. Dickson, who has not missed a game since the 2012 season, gives the Seahawks depth at a position where last year’s starter Jimmy Graham has departed in free agency, and Luke Willson remains a free agent. He is also known as a good blocking tight end, and was ranked as the top pass-blocking tight end in the NFL last year by Pro Football Focus.
King Re-Signs With Seattle: The Seahawks also re-signed cornerback Akeem King, who spent part of last season on their practice squad. King, a seventh-round pick out of San Jose State in 2015, appeared in five games with the Atlanta Falcons as a rookie. He spent 2016 on injured reserve with the Falcons, then was waived prior to the start of the 2017 season before being signed to Seattle’s practice squad last September.
Graham Goes To Green Bay: After three seasons in Seattle, Jimmy Graham is heading to the Packers. Graham, who was acquired in a 2015 trade, leaves the Seahawks as the franchise leader in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns by a tight end.
Richardson Lands In Minnesota: Defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson, who the Seahawks acquired in a trade with the New York Jets before the start of last season, signed a free-agent deal with the Minnesota Vikings. With Seattle, Richardson appeared in 15 games, recording 44 tackles, one sack, one interception and one forced fumble.
Richardson Inks Deal With Washington: Wideout Paul Richardson signed a free-agent deal with the Washington Redskins Thursday, leaving Seattle after four seasons with the Seahawks. Richardson, a second-round pick in 2014 out of Colorado, caught 95 passes for 1,302 yards and eight touchdowns with the Seahawks.
Bennett Traded: The Seahawks started free agency by parting ways with defensive end Michael Bennett, sending the veteran lineman to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for receiver Marcus Johnson. Seattle also shipped a 2018 seventh-round draft pick to Philadelphia as part of the deal and received a 2018 fifth-round draft pick in return.
Shead Signs With Lions: Defensive back DeShawn Shead, who the Seahawks released Monday, signed with the Detroit Lions Wednesday. Seattle parted ways with Shead this week because the team and Shead both went into the 2018 offseason expecting him to be a free agent after he played 2017 on a one-year deal. But because Shead was on the physically unable to perform list for most of the season, the NFL ruled that his contract tolled, meaning the Seahawks could have kept him under the terms of the deal he signed last offseason coming off of a serious knee injury. Shead originally signed with the Seahawks in 2012 as an undrafted free agent out of Portland State.
